My SDSU Experience

Spring 2026

Jan 2026 - May 2026

This is my current semester at SDSU. I decided to take another UI/UX class because it was so fun and I thought it was really interesting. In terms of UI/UX and learning code, it’s not as bad as I thought. I say that now as I’m making this website having only learned html and css so far, but we’ll see how that changes by the end of this project. I’m also taking Typography 2 in addition to Religion in Anime and Oceans.

Fall 2025

Aug 2025 - Dec 2025

This semester I tried my hand at 3D fabrication and UI/UX design. 3D fabrication was tricky at first with being overwhelmed with the different controls to learn but once I got the hang of it, it was pretty easy to use the application. UI/UX was definitely easier than I expected. Even though there was no coding, the methodology did follow how coding is formatted. Though I will say my computer did not like having Penpot open. And just for fun, I took a black and white film class from my favorite professor. It was a lot of fun using my mom’s old film camera and getting to develop the film myself as well as create the enlargements.

Spring 2025

Jan 2025 - May 2025

I wanted to try and take a different art class, so I took a woodworking class for the first time and had a lot of fun! It was a nice break from the 2 design classes I was taking at the time and a good chance to do something with my hands. I took a religion class about Death and the Afterlife and it was quite interesting to see how different religions think about death and how they mourn and/or don’t in some instances.

Fall 2024

Aug 2024 - Dec 2024

I took a class to refresh my Adobe skills from high school and took a digital photography class (which was one of my favorite classes that semester). I also took an introductory class to Computer Science and it reminded me of how people would make games on Scratch. The evolution of animals was another really interesting class and I had fun learning about all the different taxa. My childhood obsession with mythology came back with a class that I took on mythology.

Fall 2023

Aug 2023 - Dec 2023

This was my first semester at SDSU as a freshman Multimedia major and was my first time living away from home. I took two basic drawing classes: one was more technical and one taught color theory. RWS100 was one of my favorite classes (shocking I know) because the professor was really nice and the class focused on good and evil so it was interesting to analyze the different texts and movies.
